These terms apply when you use Car Boot Scout, operated as a UK sole trader business. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them.
Car Boot Scout gives AI-generated estimates of resale value, marketplace suggestions, and listing text for secondhand items, based on a photo and/or description you provide.
Every value range, condition note, and marketplace suggestion is an AI-generated estimate based on general resale trends. It is guidance to help you decide, not a professional appraisal, valuation, or guarantee of what an item will actually sell for. Always use your own judgement, especially for high-value items.
You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for anything done through your account. You must be old enough to enter into a contract in the UK to create an account.
Free accounts are limited to 3 appraisals a month. Paid plans (Pro and Reseller) are billed monthly via Stripe and can be cancelled at any time; cancelling stops future billing but doesn't refund the current period. Prices may change with notice.
Don't use the service to appraise stolen goods, to attempt to overwhelm or abuse the system (e.g. automated scraping), or for anything illegal. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service.
We're not responsible for what you buy, sell, or price based on an appraisal, or for losses arising from relying on it. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of accuracy.
We may update these terms or the service itself over time. Continued use after a change means you accept the update.
